“Our liberty will not be secured at the sword's point...

We must secure it by making ourselves worthy of it.

In his childhood, he wrote a poem to his fellow children reminding them to always love their native tongue.

The children of today tend to like the invaders tongue.

And when the people reaches that height, God will provide a weapon, the idols will be shattered, tyranny will crumble like a house of cards, and liberty will shine out like the first dawn.” ― “What said those two souls communicating through the language of the eyes, more perfect than that of the lips, the language given to the soul in order that sound may not mar the ecstasy of feeling?

In such moments, when the thoughts of two happy beings penetrate into each other’s souls through the eyes, the spoken word is halting, rude, and weak—it is as the harsh, slow roar of the thunder compared with the rapidity of the dazzling lightning flash, expressing feelings already recognized, ideas already understood, and if words are made use of it is only because the heart’s desire, dominating all the being and flooding it with happiness, wills that the whole human organism with all its physical and psychical powers give expression to the song of joy that rolls through the soul.Let us not put to waste what our ancestors put together. Even if this saying is true “only in their dreams can a man be truly happy and free”, let us not forget the lives of those who perish to set us free. Help them find the right path, the path of righteousness. And another thing that caught my attention is the dedication of the book to the three martyrs of Cavite, Fathers Gomez, Zamora and Burgos. He did something good for others without his own agendas in mind. Men today will do whatever it takes just to satisfy his needs and wants. Although he was away and still just a little child when the execution of the three priests happened, he never forgot what they did. Even nowadays, family is one of the foundations of a person’s character. For Rizal’s portray the love of the country as a means of loving his fellow Filipino, thus helping them to attain justice from the evil and corrupt priest and Spaniards who are mistreating them in their own land for God has created us to extend our help with our fellow as a symbol of glorifying Him. I have learned from Rizal’s life that you should make yourself fruitfully. He makes himself grow to wisdom and knowledge to use it in God’s purpose. It could heal one’s heart but also harm another like a double edged sword.Rizal have a God fearing heart so that he have ignite change and peace and thus mean we Filipinos should have a good conscience and God fearing heart to impose positive changes.Maybe they are ashamed of their true language assuming that they are more superior if they speak the more popular Without education life will be very difficult to live since we don’t have the proper tool or knowledge to face the challenges. So, to me this is one of the things that have an impact. Because according to some teachers today education among youth is fast diminishing. What would become of the country that Jose Rizal died for? He laughed with them, dined with them but with a dark purpose. Thanks to Rizal for he is inspires me and thanks to our professor who imparts and explains all this knowledge for us to better understands it.AN ESSAY ABOUT JOSE RIZAL Who is Jose Rizal to common people?
